Levi II

R. Levi was an amora of the so-called third generation in Palestine and lived in the third and fourth century AD.

He was a friend of Abba bar Kahana and father Zekharjas.

Besides Isaac b. Nappaha he was the most important Haggadist from the school of Johanan, in which he was employed as a salaried preacher for 22 years to gather the community to Master's lectures and entertain through their own presentations until its arrival. This office he sided with dedication and great success and was well accepted by such appointee and considered Scripture commentators who were otherwise the opposite Haggadah rather averse ( eg R. Se'era ).

He had many pupils who narrated his haggadot be Haupttradent is Yehoshua of Sikhnin.
