The Liebenzeller Mission ( LM ) is a Christian Evangelical Missionary Society, based in Bad Zell and love is as free work within the Evangelical Church in Germany and a member of the Social Service Agency. The first part of the name stands for the headquarters of the Organization, the spa town of Bad Zell love, mission is the purpose of the organization: people in different countries will be invited to faith in Jesus Christ around the world. History

The Liebenzeller mission originated from the China Inland Mission. On November 13, 1899, the German branch of Heinrich Coerper was founded. In 1902 the mission moved from Hamburg to Bad Love cell. On July 6, 1906, the Missionary Society was renamed independently and in Liebenzeller mission.

The LM has legally independent branches in Germany, USA, Japan, Canada, Switzerland, Austria and Hungary. These branches have joined forces to Liebenzeller Mission International (LMI ).

Work areas

In contrast to the Overseas Missionary Community, now the China Inland Mission, the Mission has Liebenzeller not limited to Asia. She works with about 230 missionaries in 23 countries (among Papua New Guinea, Micronesia, Burundi, Zambia, Japan, Spain, France, Russia ), making it one of the largest German missionary societies. In Germany, the LM is involved with missionaries in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern ( Neubrandenburg and Bad Doberan ) as well as in Berlin. The LM is involved in youth work in collaboration with the Youth Association Dedicated to Christ (EC), she has been working non-denominational. Most missionaries are active in the areas of evangelism and church planting. This is done in cooperation with local Christian communities and partner missions.

Training

The Theological Seminary of the Liebenzeller Mission ( ThSLM ) is headed by Volker Gäckle since September 2006. There, a year studying approximately 110 young men and women. Offered degrees are a BA and an MA in Theology and a BA in Christian Education, awarded by the British Middlesex University. The training is academically qualified, but designed in practice. The concerns of Liebenzeller mission is to provide theological education is qualified, motivated people to missionary commitment, does she spoke - and relationship- capable. Since 1 September 2011, the International Academy love cell ( IHL ) has recorded as a successor of the Theological Seminary of the teaching. Sisterhood

The Sisterhood is a similar orden, Protestant community of around 140 sisters who live it, as long as they belong to her. You will take no vows, but a promise. Sisters in preparation to learn the community know by first stay at the sister house on the grounds of the LM and share life. Training at the LM or depending on use in other training centers is possible.

Since 1900, women have been included for use in China and later - were suitable in the South Pacific - from 1906. The first sisters arrived in 1903 to China. Financing

The Liebenzeller mission funds its work through donations from individuals as well as by foundations. 2009, the annual budget was 12.4 million euros. The work of LM is also supported by voluntary work. Supporters ask addition to their financial contributions and the time and expertise. Leisure activities and trips

What began in 1953 with Sing - free periods of missionary sister Lydia Ewald, a first leisure brochure widened out to 1971 under the leadership of Albert Weidle with 17 camps in four countries was issued. In 1996 the work was continued as Liebenzeller mission camps and Reisen GmbH. Your current manager is Paul -Gerhardt Koch. Christian Guest Houses Monbachtal

As of 1975, the LM took over the sponsorship of today's Christian Guest Houses Monbachtal, a resort, family vacation and conference center with Christian program offerings.

Documentation
