Liga ASOBAL 2011–12
The League ASOBAL is the top division of the Spanish handball. The 2011/2012 season the league ASOBAL is the 52nd in its history. FC Barcelona Intersport is the defending champion, who won their 18th title in the previous season. The season starts on September 10, 2011 and will end June 2, 2012. A total of 16 teams compete for the championship, of which only 14 teams in the 2010/11 season have contested, and two of which ascended from the División de Honor B.
