Light Regional Council

Light is bordered to the south by the city of Adelaide and is located about 70 km northeast of the city center. The area includes 42 districts and towns: Allendale North, Bagot Well, Belvidere, Bethel, book field, Daveyston, Ebenezer / Neukirch, Fords, Freeling, Gawler Belt, Gawler River, Gomersal, Greenock, Hamilton, Hans Borough, Hewett, Kangaroo Flat, Kapunda, Kingsford, Koonunga, Koonunga Hill, Linwood, Magdalla, Marananga, Moppa, Morn Hill, Nain, Nuriootpa ( outskirts ), Pinkerton Plains, Rosedale, Roseworthy Rowland Flat, Seppeltsfield, Sheaoak Log, St Johns, St Kitts, Stonewell, Tanunda, Templers, Ward Belt, wasleys and Woolsheds. The administrative headquarters of the council is located in Kapunda north of the LGA.

Management

The Council of Light has eleven members, ten Councillor elected by the residents of the four Wards (three from Dutton and Muðla Wirra Ward and two each from Laucke Light and Ward). These four districts are set independently of the districts. The Council President and Mayor ( Mayor ) is also elected by all residents of the District.
