Liisa Veijalainen

Liisa Kaarina Veijalainen ( born Liukkonen; born April 4, 1951 in Piikkiö ) is a former Finnish orienteer.

Liisa Veijalainen was 19 years old when she first took part in the World Championships. In the individual it was no more than 40th place out in the season it was also already been used and reached the fourth place in the team with Sinikka Kukkonen and Pirjo Seppä. In the next World Championships in 1972 in Czechoslovakia, she managed to move into the top. In individual they finished sixth, with the season - the same as in 1970 - they won the gold medal ahead of the Swedes and Tschechoslowakinnen. In 1974, she was able to repeat their sixth place in Silkeborg, Denmark. At the Nordic Championships in 1975, she won silver behind Mona Nørgaard from Denmark.
