Limoncito

Limoncito is a country town in the department of Santa Cruz in the lowlands of the South American Andean Republic of Bolivia.

Limoncito is the central place of the Canton Limoncito district ( bolivian: Municipio) El Torno in the province of Andrés Ibáñez. The city lies at an altitude of 551 m on the right bank of the river between the towns of El Torno Pirai and La Angostura.

Geography

Limoncito is located in the humid tropical climate on the eastern edge of the Andes mountain range of the Cordillera Oriental. The region was covered before colonization by subtropical rainforest, but today it is mostly cultivated land.

The mean average temperature of the region is 24 ° C, the annual precipitation is 950 mm (see climate chart La Angostura ).
