The Lindenerau is a small meadow stream of nearly 5 km in length. It rises in Schalkholz north of Vierth and is one of three spring-fed streams of Broklandsau. The other two are Wierbek in Norder Wahld and Osterau in the district forestry on the B 203 in Welmbüttel. The Lindenerau flows south and east of Linden Barkenholm together with the Osterau.
