Linköpings HC is a Swedish professional ice hockey club based in the city of Linköping.

The club was founded on 4 August 1976, and emerged from the Hockey section of the club BK Kentys. The team plays in the highest Swedish league, the Elitserien, and carries their games since the 2004/ 05 season in the Cloetta Center, named after the main sponsor of.

The 2005/06 season was so far one of the most successful, as it was able to complete the main round in third place. In the quarter- finals of the play-off round of the club Luleå HF was defeated. The opponent in the semifinals was Frölunda HC and at first it looked as if we would master this hurdle. In the series best of seven Linköpings HC went with 3-1 wins in leadership. Then Frölunda HC won three games in a row and so the dream had burst from the final for Linköping.

2007 it worked better. After the team climbed from 11th to 4th place in the recent Games of the main round, was again defeated Luleå HF in the quarterfinals. In the semifinals of the LHC met the reigning champions Färjestad BK, who decided also the first game in itself, but after Linköping won four games in a row, which the team qualified for the final against MODO Hockey. The final was played in best- of-seven mode and lost of Linköping with 2:4 victories.
