Lipkovo Municipality

Lipkovo ( Macedonian Липково; Albanian Likova or Likovë ) is a village in the north of Macedonia. It is the capital of the eponymous Opština belong to the still more villages in the surrounding area (including Lojane ).

Geographical location

Lipkovo is located in the north of Macedonia. It lies west of Kumanovo and south of Kosovo and Serbia.

Population

In the census of 2002, 26 360 persons or 97.4 % of the population as Albanians, 370 people or 1.4 % of the population identified as Serbs, 169 people or 0.6 % of the population as Macedonians and 159 persons or 0.6 % of the population reported another ethnicity.
