Lipton

History

Thomas Lipton sailed in 1890 in search of the best teas in the world to Ceylon and then founded his first company in London. In the late 19th century, Lipton had 300 employees in London. In 1892 he opened his second operation in Glasgow and gave around 150 sales outlets in England.
