List of awards and nominations received by Carnivàle

Carnivàle is an American television series that ran from 2003 to 2005 on HBO. Was creating the series by Daniel Knauf. The series follows the different actions of the young workers Carnival Ben Hawkins (played by Nick Stahl ) and a priest in California by the name of Brother Justin Crowe ( Clancy Brown) during the Dust Bowl. Although Carnivàle was lauded for its production and art style, the plot for many viewers was difficult to access, which led to the dismissal after only two of the planned six seasons. The first season of Carnivàle received a variety of awards and nominations, including five Emmy Awards and two Emmy nominations in the Creative Arts categories. The second season was nominated eight times for an Emmy. Nominations for two Golden Reel Awards, four Satellite Awards and two Saturn Awards did not lead to victory. The only actress of Carnivàles large cast which was awarded a prize was Adrienne Barbeau ( Ruthie ) with a Women's Image Network Award. All in all, Carnivàle received nine awards from 21 nominations.

Costume Designers Guild Awards

Gegründett 1999, the Costume Designers Guild Awards honoring costume designer in movies, television and advertising. Carnivàle was nominated twice and won a prize in 2003.

Emmy Awards

The Emmy is a television production award, which is considered the television version of the Academy Awards. The first season of Carnivàle received four Emmy nominations in 2004 and won five in Creative Arts categories. The second season was nominated eight other times for an Emmy in 2005, but did not win.

Golden Reel Awards

The Golden Reel Award is awarded by the American Motion Picture Sound Editors since 1953 and honors film and television sound engineer and their soundtracks. Carnivàle was nominated for two 2003 Golden Reel Awards.

Satellite Awards

The Satellite Award, originally the Golden Satellite Award, is an award annual award by the International Press Academy. Carnivàle could win any of the four nominations.

Saturn Awards

The Saturn Award is an award that is awarded by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films annually. Carnivàle was nominated in two categories in 2004, won in the end but no price.

VES Awards

The Visual Effects Society string is representing a large amount of specialists for visual effects in all entertainment areas and honors film, television, commercials, music videos and video games since 2002. Carnivàle won one of three nominations in 2003.
