List of Chief Ministers of Himachal Pradesh

The following table lists the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh on with tenure and party affiliation. Himachal Pradesh was from 1950 to 1956 a federal state. From November 1st 1956 to January 25, 1971, it had the status of a Union territory and since then has been directly by the central government. However, the Office of the Chief Minister was re-introduced on July 1, 1963.
