List of knitting stitches
A scam is a thread loop that is suspended in another thread loops, thereby knitting goods produced. Mesh are connected together by four binding sites.
Loop formation
By the compounds on each other as they are generated as the crochet, one wale forming loops hanging together in the transverse direction results in a row of stitches.
The loops leg in the sticks to the lower mesh head ( as shown on the drawing below ), one speaks of a right stitch, they are located behind the lower mesh head ( as shown on the diagram above ), it is a purl stitch.
Basic weaves of the fabric
Knitted and weft knitted
In the knitting and weft knit, there are three basic weaves, which can be seen by the shape of the stitches along the wale:
- Along the wale on the right side goods are just plain stitches and on the left side only purl visible, it is a so-called right-left - knit weave. (RL)
- Rights and purl stitches alternately on wales suggest a purl stitch bind. ( LL)
- In the right-right - stitch binding (RR) only right or only left mesh are visible on both sides along the rod

Warp knit
The warp knit one distinguishes seven basic bonds that arise only from the element mesh: fringe, jersey, cloth, satin, velvet, satin and twill.

Except meshes are also Henkel, float, weft and filler thread known as binding elements.
