List of members of the National Salvation Front Council

On 22 December 1989 it was announced in Bucharest in temporal association with the Romanian Revolution of Ion Iliescu in a live television broadcast of the Council of the National Salvation Front, Romanian Consiliul Frontului Salvării national ( CFSN ) by 14 clock as the body which in from now Romania exercising political power.

The members had to later defend against allegations that they had formed a conspiracy prior to December 21.

In December 1989, the Communist Party of Romania dissolved and part of the former Communist Party members founded the Frontul Salvării National (FSN, National Salvation Front ) led by Iliescu and took over power in the country. The FSN presented with Iliescu the first president (1989 - 1996) and Petre Roman (1990-1991) and Theodor Stolojan (1991-1992), two Prime Ministers. In April 1992, there were disputes within the FSN. As a result, a group split off under Iliescu and founded the Frontul Democrat al Salvării national ( FDSN, Democratic Front for the National Salvation ). She won the parliamentary elections in 1992. From some other members of the FSN was formed under the leadership of Petre Roman, the Partidul Democrat Frontul Salvării national (PD - FSN ), which in the Partidul Democrat - Liberal (PD -L, Democratic- Liberal Party in 2008 ) has risen.
