List of works commissioned by the Royal Philharmonic Society

This list includes the since 1813 by the Royal Philharmonic Society given ( to 1912 Philharmonic Society of London) in commissioned works as well as the company works dedicated to, if they were released to the performance. These include works such as Beethoven's Symphony No. 9, Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 4, "Italian ", and Camille Saint- Saëns ' Symphony No. 3 in C minor, see the " Organ Symphony ".

This part covers the period until 1917 ( last proven commissioned before the Second World War). After that, the practice had changed by the introduction of a composer price and a music award. Unless otherwise stated, the venues and 1830 the Argyll Hall, 1830 to 1864 the Hanover Square Rooms, 1864-1884 St. James's Hall, and in 1884 the Queen's Hall.
