Lizardo Montero Flores

Lizardo Montero Flores ( born May 27, 1832 in Ayabaca, Peru, † February 5, 1905 in Lima) was a Peruvian Vice President and 15 November 1881 and on October 28, 1883 President of Peru. He was also Admiral in the Peruvian Navy.

Montero was born as a child of the spouses José Casimiro Montero del Aguila and Gregoria Flores Izaga in Ayabaca in the region of Piura. He was married to Rosa Elías de la Quintana.

He was next to Miguel Grau, Aurelio García y García and Manuel Ferreyros to the " Cuatro Ases de la Marina de Guerra " ( The Four Aces of the Navy ).
