Loene Carmen

Loene Carmen (born 1970 in Adelaide ) is an Australian singer, songwriter and actress.

Loene Carmen has so far released three solo albums and currently plays accompanied live by members of the band The Scare, Holy Soul and Bridezilla. She has toured and recorded with The Mess Hall and Warren Ellis. Carmen toured in 2006 solo through Europe as support for Mick Harvey.

Carmen's father is the well-known rock, jazz and blues pianist Peter Head. He also played piano in some of Carmen's band.

Loene Carmen worked as a teenager in a " Kings Cross" - pizza bar, where he was discovered for the role of Freya Olsen in John Duigan's Australian film drama The year my first love. This role earned her a nomination for the Australian Film Institute Award for Best Actress. Other notable roles were those of Sallie -Anne Huckstepp in the docudrama Blue Murder and of Christine in Alkinos Tsilimidos ' Drama Tom White.

Loene Carmen with her partner Aden Young since 2007, a son named Dutch Bon. From a previous relationship she has born 1990 daughter Holiday Sidewinder.
