BW

The wages is a right-side tributary of the River Hunte. It flows only in the southern part of the county Diepholz ( Lower Saxony). The wages is not a naturally arising river, but was created late 16th century by order of the government as Celler culvert especially for draining the Diepholzer fracture. The wages became the main drain of the Dumber.

Course

The 10.5 km long wages runs exclusively between the Lower Saxon lake Dumber and the Lower Saxon Circle City Diepholz. It originates from the Dumber, namely at its northeast corner, then flows in a northerly direction, crosses under the highway 51 to the city limits of Diepholz to Samtgemeinde Old Office Lemfoerde and then flows east of B 51 on.

South of the city center of Diepholz they are in an easterly direction from the Strothe, the northeast of the city center Diepholzer flows into the Grawiede. The wages even flows right through the center of Diepholz. Near the castle it splits in the front and rear wages ( Mühlkanal ) and comes shortly afterwards at the site together at the to 1928 was the Diepholzer watermill. To the north of this confluence flows the wages as Flöthe to its confluence with the Hunte directly south of Thouarsstraße.
