Loïc Courteau

Loïc Courteau ( born January 6, 1964 in Bordeaux ) is a French former tennis player and tennis coach.

Life

Courteau was in 1982 at the finals of the junior tournament, the French Open. In the same year he became a professional tennis player and reached the final of the ATP tournament from Quito, but was defeated, but Andrés Gómez. It remained his only finals in the men's singles. In the following years he reached with Guy Forget several doubles final, 1986, he was in Buenos Aires win his only title at the side of Horst Skoff. In the late 1980s he played more on the ATP Challenger Tour or on satellite tournaments, among other things, he won with Tore Meinecke 1987 Challengerturnier of Cairo. After his retirement from professional sports Courteau worked as a tennis coach. He was from 2002 to 2008 Coach of Amelie Mauresmo, which he led one to two Grand Slam victories and world ranking.
