Lone Dybkjær

Dybkjær (* May 23, 1940 ) is a former Danish politician Det Radical Venstre (RV), which was temporarily Minister of the Environment as well as ten years as a member of the European Parliament.

Life

Dybkjær completed post-school study of civil engineering and was then working as a civil engineer since 1964. Her political career began when she in the election of 4 December 1973 as a candidate of Det Radical Venstre was first elected deputies in the Folketing and this belonged to the elections on 15 February 1977. In the subsequent general election on 23 October 1979, she was again elected MPs and belonged to the Folketing until the elections on 21 September 1994. During this time she was first spokesperson of the RV for energy, labor and environmental policies, and most recently 1987-1988 spokesperson on foreign policy.

On June 3, 1988 Dybkjær of Prime Minister Poul Schlüter as Minister of the Environment ( Miljøminister ) was appointed to his third government and kept the ministerial office until 18 December 1990. She was so far the only politicians of their party in this ministerial department.

In the European elections in 1994 Dybkjær was, who is married to the former Socialist prime minister and later Member of the European Parliament Poul Nyrup Rasmussen since 1994, elected as a member of the 4th European Parliament and belonged to the European Parliament, re-elected in the European election of 1999 to the end of the fifth legislative session of 2004. She was most recently between 1999 and 2004 first deputy chairman of the Environment Committee.

After her resignation from the European Parliament, she was elected in the election on February 8, 2005 for the RV again as MPs in the Folketing, to which she belonged to the general election on September 15, 2011. In addition, Dybkjær engaged as co -chair of the equality body Gender Task Force, which works with the support of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe ( OSCE) to improve the working and living conditions of women in South Eastern Europe. In 2009, she also took an Adjunct Professor of computer science at Aalborg humanistic Universitetscenter.
