Longmanhill

Longmanhill is a hamlet in the Scottish unitary authority Aberdeenshire. It is located near the south shore of the Moray Firth about three kilometers southeast of Macduff and 20 kilometers west of Fraserburgh in the traditional county of Banffshire. Longmanhill stretches along the A98, which connects the village to the road network.

Longmanhill was founded as an agricultural settlement in 1822 by the Earl of Fife. The colonization of the area, however, can be traced further back. Thus, the Cairn Cairn Longman well preserved, about 66 m long is located near the village. Today Longmanhill consists of only a few buildings, grouped mainly along the A98.
