Longues-sur-Mer
Longues- sur -Mer is a commune with 642 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Calvados in Normandy, whose center is the village of the same name. Together with 33 other municipalities counts Longues- sur -Mer to the municipality composite Bayeux Intercom.
The municipality is the Battery Longues- sur -Mer, which was part of the Atlantic Wall.
Geography
The municipality is located in Bessin on the English Channel, there reaches its coastal cliff heights of five to 60 meters. The nearest major town, Bayeux, is located about 6.5 km from the village of Longues- sur -Mer.
