Loop jump

The Rittberger is an edge jump in figure skating and at the roller skating ( roller skating ). It owes its name to the multiple German vice-champion Werner Rittberger. In the English-speaking world the name " Rittberger " did not prevail, there is the term "loop (jump) " ( loop jump) used.

Implementation

The runner slides only with both feet backwards on the ice. Then he shifted his weight on his right leg, which must be pressed into the right turn into the ice firmly to avoid slipping. Finally, the rotor jumps off backwards and rotates one or more times by 360 degrees ( single, double or triple Rittberger ). The Rittberger landed on that leg on which it will come off.

History

The first triple Rittberger among men was Richard button at the Olympic Games in 1952 and for women Gaby Seyfert in 1968. Éric Millot 1996 showed first a triple Rittberger triple Rittberger combination. Never before has successfully landed a quadruple Rittberger.
