Lothar and the Hand People

Lothar and the Hand People was an American psychedelic rock band that existed from 1965 to 1970. She is best known as one of the first bands to use Theremin and synthesizer instruments as well as on stage.

Band History

Based in Denver, the band moved to New York in 1966. She has performed with such well-known groups such as The Byrds, The Grateful Dead, Canned Heat, The Lovin ' Spoonful and the Chambers Brothers. They jammed with Jimi Hendrix and contributed music for Sam Shepard's play The Unseen Hand at. At the Atlantic City Pop Festival, she played as the opening act.

However, the commercial success of their singles and albums failed to meet expectations. The group broke up after five years. The Chambers Brothers 1997 they covered their song It Comes on Anyhow.
