Atlantic City Pop Festival
The Atlantic City Pop Festival took place from 1 to 3 August 1969 two weeks before the Woodstock Festival. There were about 100,000 visitors. The list of occurred bands and musicians reads like a Who's Who of the former rock and pop scene. Festival organizers were Herb, Allen and Jerry Spivak, Shelley Kaplan and Larry Magid. Admission was $ 6 per day, $ 15 for the whole weekend.
In the three-day festival at the Atlantic City Race Court near Atlantic City, New Jersey, included performances by the following groups and performers on:

Notes to the festival
Crosby, Stills & Nash were originally on the program, but said because of illness by Graham Nash from; two weeks later they performed at Woodstock. In Atlantic City, they were at the last minute replaced by the Chambers Brothers.
Moody Blues were just announced and then did not occur.
Johnny Winter was present, but could not play due to technical problems. Little Richard appeared instead, and invited the audience to dance on stage one.
Joni Mitchell left the stage upset because she was allegedly not been listening.
The revolving stage of the festival, which allowed a rapid succession of appearances, was designed by Buckminster Fuller.
