Loučany

Loučany ( German According to Chan) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 13 kilometers west of the city center of Olomouc and is part of the Okres Olomouc.

Geography

Loučany is located at the foot of Zábřežská highlands in the Upper Moravian Valley ( Hornomoravský úval ). The village is situated on both sides of the river Šumice. Located northwest of the village runs the railway line Červenka - Prostějov; The nearest train station is Náměšt na Hané.

Neighboring towns are Senice na Hané in the north, Náklo, Příkazy and Skrbeň in the northeast, Křelov - Břuchotín, Řepčín and Vojnice in the east, Těšetice and Rataje the southeast, Nova and Drahanovice in the south, Ludéřov and Střížov the southwest, Náměšt na Hané and Biskupství in west and Nové Dvory in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of Lucaz took place in 1131 in a freight directory of the Olomouc Bishop Heinrich Zdik. In 1269, Andreas de Luchan owner of the goods Luchan. In 1834 According to Chan consisted of 84 houses where 524 consistently Haná speaking people lived. The estate belonged to the village of Chan According to still Andlersdorf and 28 houses of small Latin. Until the mid- 19th century, the village remained subservient always Chudwein.

After the abolition of patrimonial Loučany / According to Chan formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Olomouc. 1875 took the elementary school to teach, there was previously a trivial school. As of 1921, the village belonged to Okres Olomouc- venkov. In 1949 Loučany to Okres Olomouc- okolí and since 1961 the place belongs to Okres Olomouc. In 1974 the village was incorporated into Náměšt na Hané. After the Velvet Revolution, Loučany end of 1990 sparked again from Náměšt and has since formed a separate municipality. At the beginning of 2005, lived in 220 houses of Loučany 635 people.
