Louis Armand II, Prince of Conti
Louis Armand II, Prince de Conti ( born November 10, 1695 in Paris, † May 4, 1727 in Paris) was the son of François Louis de Bourbon, prince de Conti and his wife Marie -Thérèse de Bourbon- Condé.
Life
Louis Armand II was sickly throughout his life. He served in the War of Spanish Succession under Marshal Villars, but could never achieve the military successes of his father; nevertheless, he was Field Marshal in 1713. He was also governor of Poitou, and a member of the Government and the Military Council.
At the collapse of Law's share scam he became very wealthy.
Marriage and issue
1713 he married his cousin Princess Louise Elisabeth ( 1693-1775 ), daughter of Prince Ludwig III. , Prince de Condé. From her children survived the following:
- Louis -François (1717-1776), Prince de Conti
- Louise Henriette (1726-1759), married since 1743 with Louis -Philippe, Duke of Orléans
