Louis Barbarin

Louis Barbarin ( born October 24, 1902 in New Orleans, † 12 May 1997 ) was an American jazz drummer.

Louis Barbarin was the son of Isidore Barbarin Blechbläsers ( Onward Brass Band ) and drummer Paul Barbarin brother of ( 1901-1969 ). He went on, inter alia, with John Robichaux, Buddy Petit, Punch Miller, Jim Robinson and George Lewis; From 1937 he played with Papa Celestin. Barbarin worked in the field of jazz from 1951 to 1981 in 61 recording sessions.
