Louise Lake-Tack

Dame ( since 2007) Louise Agnetha Lake -Tack GCMG ( born July 26, 1944 in Long Lane Estate ( St. Phillips Parish ) ) is an Antiguan politician and current Governor-General of Antigua and Barbuda.

Biography

After his school education at the Freetown Government School and the Antigua Girls High School in Saint John's, she began training as a nurse at Charing Cross Hospital in London in the UK. Upon her return to Antigua it was some time as a nurse at the National Heart Hospital and the Harley Street Clinic operates.

Later she studied law and was after graduation, first as a judge to the magistrate courts ( Magistrates Courts ) of Marylebone and Horseferry active. Subsequently, she was a judge on the Appellate Courts of the Crown ( Crown Courts ) in Pocock and Middlesex.

On 17 July 2007 she was appointed as the successor of Sir James Carlisle to the first Governor-General of Antigua and Barbuda and is thus representative of Queen Elizabeth II as head of state.

For her achievements she has been awarded, among others, with the Grand Cross of the Order of St Michael and St George.
