Luboš Urban

Luboš Urban ( born November 19, 1957 in Jihlava ) is a Czech football player and current football coach.

Playing career

Urban played in his youth for Spartak Jihlava. At age 18, he moved to Prague at Xaverov Horni Počernice. 1978 Urban went to LIAZ Jablonec, 1982 Dukla Prague. For Dukla the midfielder completed 90 first division matches in which he scored 18 goals. In 1988, the Urban League rivals Škoda Plzeň, came there but only on six missions. In the 1989/90 season he played at SC Xaverov Horni Počernice.

In the summer of 1990, Urban moved to French club U.S. Ivry. After four years, he returned to the Czech Republic and joined the then second division Spolana Neratovice. His career was then Urban nine years finish with sporadic appearances for amateur club SK Černolice.

Coaching career

Even in Ivry -sur -Seine Urban worked as a youth coach. From 1994 to 1998 he was a coach at Spolana Neratovice, in the first season yet as player-coach. From 1998 to 2000 he coached in the 2nd league his former club Xaverov. In the 2000 /01 season was Urban Coach of Viktoria Plzen, but was released after eleven games due to lack of success.

As of November 2000, he coached the then second division side FC MUS must. Five game to the end of season 2001/ 02 he was replaced by Miroslav Janů. From 2002 to 2003 worked at Urban Sparta Krc, then two years for the Prague amateur club FC Dragoun Břevnov. In summer 2005, Urban moved to FC Střížkov, who had just renamed in Bohemians Prague. The club him the walkover from the third succeeded in the first league. In summer 2009, Urban moved to FC Highlands Jihlava. During the winter break 2011 Urban helped out at FC Graffin Vlašim, but without getting a connection contract.
