Luc Recordon

Luc Recordon ( born September 20, 1955 in Pully, Vaud ) is a Swiss politician (Greens) and a member of the Council of States.

From March 1990 to November 2003 was Recordon at the Grand Council of the Canton of Vaud. He is a member of the Board of the Vaud Cantonal Bank. Since 1990 he is member of the executive community of Prilly in Lausanne. Recordon was of the House of Representatives 2003-2007 National Council. In the second round of Senate elections in Vaud 11 November 2007 Recordon could win the seat of retiring Christiane Lange Berger (FDP) with 86'350 votes.

On 23 November 2007, the Green Group announced to let Luc Recordon competing against Christoph Blocher for the Federal elections in December 2007. This candidacy was clearly confirmed by the Assembly of Delegates of the Green on December 1, 2007. As announced pulled Recordon 's candidacy in the elections finally back when it became apparent that Eveline Widmer- Schlumpf would have a chance against Christoph Blocher.

For the Federal Election 2008 Recordon was re- established by the green faction as a candidate. After the first ballot he was suspending his candidacy and called for the election of Hans Jörg Walter.

Recordon came as a result of a rare genetic anomaly with stunted shins to the world and goes to two prostheses.

He is a graduate engineer EPFL and Dr. iur. and lawyer with his own practice.
