Luca Turilli 's Rhapsody ( also LTRhapsody, LT 's Rhapsody or simply Rhapsody ) is an Italian symphonic power metal group.
The group is a spin-off of Rhapsody of Fire (formerly Rhapsody ), was established in 2011 by the former members Luca Turilli, Patrice Guers, Alex Holzwarth and live musicians Dominique Leurquin.

History
The beginnings with Rhapsody
In 1993, Luca Turilli and Alex Staropoli the symphonic power metal band Rhapsody ( later renamed Rhapsody of Fire), which debuted in 1997 with the album Legendary Tales. It developed the band's own Genre Film Score Metal. All other albums were based on a written by Turilli fantasy saga that with the album From Chaos to Eternity was concluded in 2011.
The separation
In August 2011, Turilli and Staropoli announced, now friendly to end its fifteen- year collaboration, because the work climate is no longer corresponds to the earlier days. However, they decided that both bands should retain the name Rhapsody in order to benefit from its reputation can. The first album
Luca Turilli immediately began the composition of the new album Ascending to Infinity, which is performed taking into account previous albums with Alex Staropoli, as the eleventh album.

The album was produced by Turilli itself, the recordings of the drums, bass and vocals were performed in Sebastian Roeder's Backyard Studios in Kempten. For mastering, Christoph Stickel of the Munich MSM Studios was responsible. All orchestral arrangements are from Luca Turilli. The new style is characterized by placing the emphasis on elements from the film music, which is why the new genre label Cinematic Metal has been introduced. The motto of the band is accordingly "Born to sound cinematic ". In contrast to Rhapsody of Fire there will be no common thread linking the individual albums; The individual songs are only loosely related. In the texts themselves Turilli often employs symbolism.

Drummer Alex Holzwarth realized that it would be impossible for him to play simultaneously in two bands. Therefore, he decided after the completion of the album to work only with Rhapsody of Fire. Luca Turilli came to as the new drummer Alex Landsburg ( Mekong Delta, ex - Axxis ).
Ascending to Infinity was released on 22 June 2012; on November 10 launched the European Tour in Charleroi, Belgium. Both the new songs as well as songs were played by Luca Turilli - solo albums and those from the old Rhapsody albums. The tour was advertised as " Cinematic World Tour" where the band promised in this sense, a " multi- visual" show. As an additional live keyboard player, the Finn Mikko Härkingen (which was originally Sonata Arctica ) involved. Guitarist Dominique Leurquin was due to a serious violation of his hand through a circular saw not participate in the tour, so his parts were replaced by samples.
Recent work
