Luciano Suriani

Luciano Suriani ( born January 11, 1957 in Atessa, Province of Chieti, Italy ) is a Curia Bishop of the Roman Catholic Church.

Life

He was ordained in 1981 by Vincenzo Fagiolo a priest and was incardinated in the clergy of the Archdiocese of Chieti - Vasto.

Pope Benedict XVI. appointed him on 22 February 2008 Titular Archbishop of Amiternum and Apostolic Nuncio to Bolivia. He received his episcopal consecration Cardinal Secretary of State, Tarcisio Cardinal Bertone SDB, consecrated him on 26 April of the same year; Co-consecrators were Cardinal Jean -Louis Tauran and Bruno Forte, Archbishop of Chieti - Vasto.

From his office he resigned on 21 November 2008. On 24 September 2009 he was appointed delegate to the State Secretariat.
