Ludovico Mazzolino (c. 1480/81 in Ferrara, † before or around 1530 in Ferrara, also called Mazzuoli or Manzulìn ) was an Italian painter of the School of Ferrara..

Life

Mazzolini was only a pupil of Lorenzo Costa, but soon moved to Domenico Panetti. Subsequently lived and worked Mazzolini at the courts of Bologna. 1521, he married Giovanna, a daughter of the Venetian painter Bartolomeo Vacchi.

On September 27, 1528, he fell ill with the plague and made ​​his will, in which his wife and two daughters are mentioned along with two brothers. When he died exactly, is not known. In a document dated December 22, 1530, which relates to his daughter Mary, it is mentioned that he had already died. He was buried in the church of S. Gregorio in Ferrara, to whose church he had heard.
