Luiz Carlos Ferreira

Luiz Carlos Ferreira, known as Luizinho ( born October 22, 1958 in Nova Lima, Minas Gerais ) is a former Brazilian footballer. He played in defense.

During his career (1975-1996) he played for Atlético Clube Villanova, (2003 played another football player named Luizinho, Luiz Antônio de Oliveira, for Villanova ) Atlético Mineiro, Cruzeiro and in Portugal for Sporting Lisbon. The state championship of the state of Minas Gerais ( Campeonato Mineiro ), he won nine times in succession: ( 1978-1982, 1985, 1986, 1989, 1994 ).

He played between August 1980 and June 1983 32 times for Brazil and scored two goals. For Brazil, he participated in the 1982 World Cup in Spain and participated in all five games as a regular player.
