Luna E-1 No.3

Luna 1958C, also known under the name Luna E-1 No.3, was a Soviet lunar probe and should after the failed Soviet attempts Luna 1958a and Luna 1958b as the first spacecraft ever to overcome the gravitational field of the earth onto a hard surface on the moon. 245 seconds after the start of eating due to lack of lubrication a hydrogen pump securely so that the engines of the core stage failed.
