Luxembourg women's national football team

The Luxembourg national football team of women representing Luxembourg in international women's football. The national team is under the Luxembourg Football Federation and has existed since June 2003. Training is the team of Jean Romain.

In 2006 the team to qualification for a major tournament for the first time took ( Women Football Championship 2009) part. The 4-2 victory over Malta was the first victory of the Luxembourg Luxembourg selection and then covered with number 60 the best ever place in the FIFA world rankings. Then the team partially fell out of the rankings and was listed at number 117, because too few games were contested. Currently, the team has been ranked 89th

In the pre-qualification for Euro 2013, the team finished the tournament in Macedonia the third group space.

Ahead of the World Cup 2011 Luxembourg first played against a team that does not belong to UEFA. The match against World Cup participants Equatorial Guinea was lost with 0:8.

In the pre-qualification for the 2015 World Championships, the team could not prevail for the actual skill at the tournament in Malta and only came in a 0-0 draw against Latvia to a point profit.
