Lyndhurst (South Australia)

Lyndhurst is a city in the north- east of South Australia and 606 kilometers north of Adelaide. It is located at the intersection of Strzelecki and Oodnadatta Track. The place in the outback, formerly led a railway line through the exists now only of some buildings. Today Lyndhurst is a meeting place for tourists or locals who travel to the northeast to Innamincka on the Strzelecki Track or north via Marree on the Oodnadatta Track to Oodnadatta or on the Birdsville Track to Birdsville.

Five kilometers north of Lyndhurst are the Ockre Cliffs. The red ocher occurring there is of high intensity and quality that they will be broken down by the far -traveling Aborigine for thousands of years for religious purposes and uses.
