Macclenny is a city and also the county seat of Baker County in the U.S. state of Florida with 6,374 inhabitants ( 2010).

Geography

Macclenny is located approximately 40 km west of Jacksonville.

Demographics

According to the 2010 census, the then 6,374 inhabitants distributed to 2,335 households. The population density was 749.9 inh. / Km ². 78.0 % of the population were white, 17.9% African American, 0.5% Native American and 0.7 % Asian Americans. 0.7 % were members of other ethnic groups and 2.2% in different ethnic groups. 2.5% of the population were Hispanic or Latino.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 96.44 % of the population spoke Spanish and 3.56%.
