Maciej Stuhr

Maciej Stuhr ( born June 23, 1975 in Kraków ) is a Polish film and theater actor.

Maciej Stuhr, son of actor and director Jerzy Stuhr, had his film debut as a child alongside his father in Kieślowski's Decalogue, Ten.

As a result, he was co-founder of the successful cabaret ensemble Po żarcie (1995 to 1999), whose texts were primarily from him. After completing a psychology degree at the Jagiellonian University (1999) Maciej Stuhr finally moved to the State Theatre School PWST, also in Cracow (until 2003). He participated already in several film and television works in time - his performance as " Hipolit Wieloslawski " in early spring, is an adaptation of the eponymous novel by Stefan Żeromski earned him a nomination for the Polish Film Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Maciej Stuhr, who also works as a theater actor at Warsaw's Teatr Dramatyczny, moderated in 2006, both the award ceremony of the XXXI. Polish Film Festival in Gdynia (together with the TV presenter Grazyna Torbicka ) and which takes place in Warsaw ceremony of the European Film Prize 2006 ( together with the French actress Sophie Marceau ).
