Madeleine Stowe
Madeleine Stowe ( born August 18, 1958 in Los Angeles, California as Madeleine Marie Stowe Mora ) is an American actress and among other things, Golden Globe -winning actress.
Life and career
Madeleine Stowe was born as the eldest of three sisters. She grew up in Eagle Rock, a suburb of Los Angeles, on. Her father was British and her mother came from Costa Rica.
When she was ten years old, Stowe took piano lessons with the goal of becoming a concert pianist. So she stopped, however, as her instructor died in 1976. She studied film and journalism at the University of Southern California, the study broke off, however, and played at the theater Solaris in Beverly Hills, where she discovered a film agent, and then got her appearances in television and movies. The first time she stood in 1978 in the television film The Nativity in front of the camera. In 1981, she made her film debut in the film until the last shot.
Stowe played almost fifteen years only small roles as a supporting actress in various films. She was a poignant blind musician in the thriller Blink - Deadly moments, playing the psychiatrist Dr. Railly in the science fiction film Twelve Monkeys starring Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt. 1996 Stowe interrupted her film career in order to focus on her motherhood. In 1998, she returned to the film drama & desire back reality into the film business.
Stowe has been married since 1986 to fellow actor Brian Benben, with whom she had worked in 1981 for a TV movie. The couple has a daughter and a son. They spend free time on his cattle ranch in Texas.
