Madhuri Dixit is the daughter of an engineer and a musician. Her first film role, she received while she was still studying biology at Parle College in 1984 Abodh. Her first success was in 1988 Tezaab. There were other films with which they rose to the Bollywood icon of the 1990s. Her achievements this decade were Dil 1990, Beta 1992 and Khal Nayak of 1993. Their most successful film Hum Aapke Hain Koun total is ...! from the year 1994.
In 1997 she had the leading role in the highly successful film Dil To Pagal Hai, in which Yash Chopra directed, and finally she turned in 2002, its last and most internationally recognized film Devdas, on the side of two of the biggest stars in Bollywood: Shahrukh Khan and the former Miss World Aishwarya Rai. The film was shown as the first Indian Bollywood film at the International Film Festival of Cannes.
It won four Filmfare Awards for Best Actress, as well as an award for best actress in a supporting role for her work in the film Devdas.
In 2011 she received the Filmfare Award because it is operated for 25 years in the Filmindrustrie.
Madhuri Dixit was the muse and sometimes also the model for the famous Indian painter MF Husain. She also had a role in his film Gaja Gamini ( 2000).
Dixit spends her time both in India as well as in Los Angeles, as they the American physician Dr. Sriram Nene married in 1999. She has two sons: her first son Areen, born in 2003, and her second Ryan, who was born in March 2005. After her first child was born, she wanted to return to the Bollywood business but her second pregnancy made that impossible. After the birth of her second child she took her film projects deferred again.
