Magallanes Department

The department Magallanes is located in the east of Santa Cruz province in southern Argentina and is one of the seven administrative units in the province. With 19,805 km ², it is the smallest area of ​​the department of the province.

It is bordered to the north by the Department of Deseado, in the east by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the Departamento CORPEN Aike and to the west by the department of Río Chico.

The capital of the department Magallanes is Puerto San Julián.
