Magic Circle Music

Magic Circle Music (short MCM) / Magic Circle Entertainment is an American metal label, which was founded in 2003 by Manowar bassist Joey DeMaio. The name of the label is derived from the music drama Der Ring des Nibelungen by Richard Wagner, Joey DeMaio very admired.

Generally

The label has mainly bands under contract, playing both classic and progressive power metal. In addition, it also sells Joey DeMaio's own band Manowar and more true- or heavy metal bands. Sales in Europe was settled first on the German record label SPV, since 2009, the marketing on ALIVE running.

History

After Manowar had celebrated first great success, they had to hold on the market. During this time the band also saw how many other bands disappeared from the market because of the increasing commercialization and lost. Because of bassist Joey DeMaio founded his own record label in order to accurately intercept such bands and keeping on the market. At first he marketed his own band Manowar, and later some other bands and artists such as Luca Turilli or Rhapsody of Fire, do so.

First time in 2007 launched the Magic Circle Festival in Bad Arolsen Germany, which was launched by Magic Circle Music and has since performed annually. Play at the festival, in addition to the headliner Manowar most other bands and artists who are at Magic Circle Music under contract.
