Magic Circle Festival

The Magic Circle Festival is a music festival with bands from Heavy Metal, which took place from 2007 to 2010 year. It was launched by Magic Circle Music, the record label by Joey DeMaio and was first held on July 6th and 7th 2007 in Bad Arolsen (Hesse) instead.

Background

This festival by Joey DeMaio, the bassist of Manowar, Germany during the last concert of the Demons, Dragons & Warriors Tour was announced on 31 March 2007 at the Hanns -Martin- Schleyer-Halle in Stuttgart. It was designed as a thank you to the Manowar fans, because delaying the release of the album Gods of War and therefore the tour had to be postponed twice ( only from April 2006 to December 2006, then again in March 2007). Hence the small admission price of 10 euros per day.

2007

Originally, the Magic Circle Festival should extend only over one day (7 July 2007), due to popular demand, however, was another day added ( 6 July 2007), with the majority of the bands occurred on both days. In November 2007, a recording of the festival available on DVD. During the Manowar show on 7 July 2007 was announced by Joey DeMaio, that it is not a one-time thank you. 2008

The Magic Circle Festival 2008 began on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 with a burning of the old wooden ship from the last tour. On this day, a new Guinness world record was set with 139dB. During the festival Manowar played their first six studio albums live in chronological order and distributed a free single called Die With Honor, which was produced in an edition of 20,000 copies, to their fans.

2009
