Maia Shibutani

Maia Shibutani ( born July 20, 1994 New York City, New York ) is an American figure skater who starts in ice dancing.

Your Eistanzpartner since 2004, her brother Alex Shibutani. The ice dance is coached by Igor and Marina Schpilband Sujewa.

2009 won the Shibutanis at the Junior World Championships in Sofia the silver medal behind their compatriots Madison Chock and Greg Zuerlein. In 2010 she was U.S. junior champion.

The breakthrough in the seniors succeeded the brother and sister in the season 2010/11. They were national runners-up behind Meryl Davis and Charlie White. In their first appearance at Four Continents Championships, she also won the silver medal behind their compatriots. Your World Cup debut, they joined in Moscow from winning the bronze medal. They benefited from a fall from Fabian Bourzat in the freestyle.
