The Main Valley East railway station is a railway station in the Rhine- Main Transport Association on the railway line Frankfurt- Hanau, which links the Maintaler Districts Hochstadt and Dörnigheim.

Location

History

On June 10, 1848, the railway line Frankfurt- Hanau was inaugurated by the Frankfurt- Hanau Railway Company; at that time there was not yet the station. Like the neighboring breakpoint Rumpenheim (later Bishop Home Rumpenheim today: Main Valley West) and the railway station Hochstadt - Dörnigheim (today: Main Valley East) built later. From the old station name Hochstadt - Dörnigheim still generates a station sign at railway crossing Eichenheege.

Construction

The station now consists of four tracks, two of which are passing loops, which are not used runs regularly.
