Malá Veleň

Malá Veleň ( German Wöhlen small, even small Wehlen ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers south-east of the center of Decin at the city limits and is part of the Okres Decin.

Geography

Malá Veleň is located in the north of the Bohemian Uplands left side on the slope of Ploučnicetals. To the north rises the Hlídka ( Hutberg, 480 m), in the south of the Jedlova (491 m ) west of the Jedlova ( Tannbusch, 530 m) and the Velky Chlum ( Kolmener dump, 507 m), and in the northwest of the Chlum ( Kolmer disc, 444 m). History

The first written mention of the village Weleni times was in 1515 in the wake of the sale of dominions Tetschen and Scharfstein by Nicholas III.
