Malczkówko

Malczkówko ( German New Malzkow, Kasch. Nowe Môlczëce ) is a small village in the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship. It belongs to the rural community Potegowo in powiat Słupski ( Stolp ).

Geographical location

Malczkówko located in Pomerania, southeast of the county town of Slupsk ( Stolp ) and two kilometers northwest of the village Malczkowo ( Malzkow ) in the province road 211 that leads from Nowa Dąbrowa ( Neu Damerow ) to Żukowo ( Zuckau ). Rail connection is via the station Strzyżyno Słupski to that of Stargard to Gdansk.

History

The formerly called New Malzkow place was until 1945 a part of the community Malzkow. The community Malzkow was then part of the county Stolp in Pomerania Region of Pomerania.

Towards the end of World War II New Malzkow was occupied on 8 March 1945 by the Soviet Army. After the war, New Malzkow was put together with all Pomerania under Polish administration. The small village of New Malzkow was renamed by the Poles in Malczkówko.

The village is now one of Gmina Potegowo in powiat Słupski the Pomeranian Voivodeship ( 1975-1998 Slupsk voivodship ). With its 41 inhabitants Malczkówko part of the mayor's office Malczkowo.

Church

Ecclesiastical was inhabited by a predominantly Protestant population New Malzkow in the parish Lupow (Polish: Łupawa ) incorporated in the Church Stolp - old town in the ecclesiastical province of the Church of the Old Prussian Pomerania Union. Last German minister was Pastor Gerhard Gehlhoff. Since 1945 lives a majority Catholic population in Malczkówko. the reference to the former vicarage has remained, but Łupawa is now the seat of the same deanery, which belongs to the diocese Pelplin of the Catholic Church in Poland. Evangelischerseits Malczkówko is now the parish in the Cross parish in the Diocese of Slupsk in Pomeranian Greater Poland the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland.
