Malik Ghulam Muhammad

Malik Ghulam Muhammad ( born April 20, 1895 in Lahore ( Punjab ) in British India, † September 12, 1956 also in Lahore (now Pakistan) ) was a Pakistani politician and Governor-General of his land from 1951 until 1955.

Life

Ghulam Muhammad studied at the Aligarh Muslim University and then worked in the accounting field. After the creation of Pakistan in 1947 he became the first Minister of Finance of the young Commonwealth country because of his professional experience. After the assassination of Prime Minister Liaquat Ali Khan in 1951, Khawaja Nazimuddin Premier and Ghulam Muhammad Governor General of Pakistan.
